Engine Build

After Finding an AGU 1.8t engine from a Mk4 golf, we set out to rip the engine apart and rebuild it with a mountain of new parts to not only make it stronger, but to gain more power aswell.                                                           We had the block sent away to be bored, skimmed etc ready for the 2.0 stroker kit.                     We then got round to painting the block. The colour looks alot brighter on the pictures.       We then got around to building the engine back up.                          

Seam Welding and Roll cage fitment

So... we got the car back from the body shop and the next task was to seam weld and fit the roll cage.

The Golf is now back from being stripped and to describe how it looks in one word "amazing".   When it left us just over 2 weeks ago we weren't sure what to expect when it came back. Was there going to be more holes than metal, would we have to start all over again. The answer is no, the shell is in great condition for its age few issues but nothing an order from VW Heritage wont sort out.
